Ultramarine Violet Handmade Watercolour
One half pan of handmade watercolour, Ultramarine Violet.
This single-pigment, heavily granulating colour is a fun addition to your palette if you’re into granulating watercolours! I’m certainly enjoying it.
This violet is the perfect contrasting colour for adding shadows to yellow objects. (Yellow can be tricky to add shadows to, some artists try a colour that is too grey or dark, and a deeper yellow doesn't do it either! If you've struggled with this in the past, try Ultramarine Violet.)
I've included a photo with Allium swatched on the left and Ultramarine Violet on the right, as a comparison. Allium and Ultramarine both have a great lightfast rating.
