Ultramarine Blue Handmade Watercolour

One half pan of handmade watercolour, Ultramarine Blue.

I love this blue, it’s just gorgeous. It granulates beautifully and mixes like a dream. One of my all-time favourites.

Try it with Quinacridone Magenta for a fabulous range of violets and purples, or with Burnt Sienna for awesome neutrals or blacks.

I thought that an Ultramarine blue would be pretty standard and I didn't really expect any surprises when I tested this lovely out the first time. After mulling my own Ultramarine, I can tell you this: I will NEVER go back to a commercial Ultramarine. The colour of this blue is so rich and deep! It's almost a cobalt- but warmer. Wow.
