Sage, Transparent Green Handmade Watercolour

One half pan of handmade watercolour, in the colour Sage.

I usually prefer to mix many of my own greens, but having a convenience colour is exactly that- convenient.

This leafy green doesn’t get in your way and mixes well with other colours. It’s transparent attributes make it especially appealing to me as many mixed greens easily become cloudy and can be made with semi-opaque pigments (or even cadmiums).

Sage is easily ‘tuneable’ with a dash of yellow or blue, you can even try neutralizing it with a hint of magenta. Nice choice for a travel palette, as it will come in handy for both landscape paintings or urban sketching. A customer favourite!
