Blue Ridge Mountains Handmade Watercolour
One half pan of handmade watercolour, Blue Ridge Mountains.
Named for, well, the Blue Ridge Mountains... :) which are a part of the larger Appalachian Mountains, and not that far from my home. The Blue Ridge Mountains (the actual mountains) are incredible. They have so many trees and and so much plant growth that the haze they produce is responsible for the blue look to the different mountain peaks as they fade off into the distance... is that not cool?
My Blue Ridge Mountains (the paint) is an incredibly granulating and separating colour. My favourite way to use it is with a LOT of water, this really lets those pigments go nuts! I love it. It's also a fantastic shadow colour for buildings and anywhere you want some interest. Remember to keep your wash juicy for the best results, but play around with this one and have fun!!
A little hint for granulating paints: give them time to do their thing. Let them dry undisturbed for maximum results.
*Currently also available in a quarter pan size (1 ml). To purchase this size pan, please go to the quarter pan listing.
